Small snowdrifts are quickly washed away by cold rain
Europe may be left without ski resorts due to warming
The media in Germany and Austria are widely discussing the situation in the Alpine ski resorts this winter. In many places there is not enough snow to open the slopes for skiers.
During the Christmas holidays, thousands of Europeans went to their favorite mountain resorts to ski and snowboard. But many of them don't have snow. Those small snowdrifts that form at night are washed away by cold rain in the morning.
A deplorable situation has developed in France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria. Where there used to be dense snow, now the grass is green.
Therefore, only high-mountain resorts operate in Europe. Those located at medium heights were forced to close. In some places, ski rentals have already been replaced by mountain bikes.
