< p>First European cruise ship in 15 years arrives in Venezuela

В Venezuela has received the first cruise ship from Europe in 15 years. The Amadea liner brought almost 500 tourists from Belgium, Germany, Spain, Italy and France to the resort island of Margarita.

Venezuela used to be a popular holiday destination for Americans and Europeans. But due to the political confrontation of the last 5 years, the country has fallen into poverty and devastation, tourists have stopped coming here.

The Venezuelan authorities have already called the arrival of the Amadea liner "the official resumption of international maritime tourism"  in the country. Experts urge not to rush to conclusions and note that the tourist infrastructure in Venezuela is very outdated.
