If you are planning to visit any Caribbean country, there are many reasons to choose the Dominican Republic.

The Dominican Republic shares the island of Hispaniola with its neighbor Haiti, and  it is the most diverse, in terms of nature, place in the Caribbean with mountain ranges, rivers and tropical beaches.

The island nation also boasts an impressive coastline It is 1,609 km long and, according to the Nature Conservation Authority, is home to 5,600 plant species and 300 bird species. In addition to nature, the Dominican Republic has a diverse gastronomic heritage based on Tainian, African and European roots.

All these factors attract a record number of tourists here: in 2022 alone, 8.5 million people visited them. In fact, this is a 10 percent increase from the pre-pandemic level of 2019, which indicates an amazing recovery in the country's tourism sector.
