Russians massively rushed to domestic resorts

Hundreds of thousands of guests. Tourist flow to Kamchatka has recovered after the pandemic

beginning of 2022.

This year, due to the conflict in Ukraine, many familiar holiday destinations were closed to Russians. Therefore, compatriots massively rushed to Russian resorts and health resorts.

One of them is Kamchatka. Since the beginning of the year, more than 300 thousand people have already come here. This is 25% more than in the entire pre-pandemic 2019.

The leadership of the region explains this by the fact that charters from Moscow and Vladivostok were launched in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky for the first time in the summer. The state actively subsidizes air travel so that you can get to a remote region for little money.
