In Spain, a man attacked the parishioners of the church with a machete
In the Spanish city of Algeciras, a man broke into two churches in turn and attacked with a machete on the people who were there. One person died and four were injured, El País newspaper reported. Around 7:00 pm local time, the attacker entered the church of San Isidro in the city center and began arguing with the parishioners, urging them to practice Islam. After that, he left the building, but soon returned and seriously injured the priest. After that, the man went to the church of La Palma, located nearby, and began to destroy the decoration of the temple. The church minister asked him to leave the temple, but the offender reacted aggressively. He threatened two women in the second church and then started harassing the sexton. Having caught up with him on the square next to the church, the attacker stabbed the clergyman, from which he died. Shortly after the tragedy, the perpetrator was arrested. It turned out to be a 25-year-old Moroccan citizen named Yasin Kanjaa. The police said that the actions of the detainee have jihadist overtones. The prosecutor's office assesses the incident as a possible terrorist attack, writes Daily.
