This summer, Russians who decided to relax in Abkhazia began to spend there is much less time than before.

If in the past, tourists spent at least 10-14 days, or even more, on vacation in Abkhazia, now travelers get tired of it in just a week. For some, just a few days is enough, after which they go back.

«There are many more short trips. More and more tourists are booking tours from 5 to 7 days, sometimes even for 3-4», — Anna Kalyagina, president of the Abkhaz Tourism Union, told the Profi.Travel portal.

According to her, one of the reasons for this trend is the decline in the well-being of Russians due to sanctions. Many can afford only a couple of days at sea, and spend the rest of their vacation in the city or in the country.
