“As if abroad.” In Chechnya, they told about the growth of tourist traffic by 27%

The authorities of Chechnya said that in January- September 2022, 229.5 thousand tourists arrived in the region. This is 27% more than the same period last year.

The authorities intend to develop the region as a year-round center of attraction for tourists. In winter, guests are welcome at the Veduchi ski resort with the longest all-season ski run in Europe. A modern hotel and a lift have already been built there. From Grozny to the resort – only 1.5 hours.

“The Chechen Republic is in the TOP-3 destinations with a rich intangible heritage and is one of the four Russian regions where Russians feel like border,” Chechen Minister of Tourism Muslim Baitaziyev told reporters.

Among other sights of the region are Grozny, the high-altitude lake Kezenoy-Am, the Argun Gorge.
