Guests from Ukraine cannot compensate for losses
Montenegrins complained about the decline in tourist flow from Russia
The tourist industry of Montenegro is suffocating without tourists from Russia, writes the local portal Nova.
As told in one of the souvenir shops , the influx of Russian tourists to the country was higher even in 1999, when there was a war and bombing in Yugoslavia. Now, due to the closure of air traffic between Montenegro and the Russian Federation, this country is losing a large part of its income. The influx of guests from Ukraine cannot compensate for these losses.
"The season has been completely disrupted. What we are seeing now is horror,” said a local resident who works as a guide. According to him, Russians no longer go to Montenegro, preferring Greece, Egypt and Turkey to it.
Restaurant owners and employees express a similar opinion.
