An Indian delegation has already visited GUM, VDNKh, the Kremlin and Kolomenskoye
Moscow authorities attract the city of wealthy tourists from India
On December 15, Mostourism organized a study visit to the capital of representatives of the 30 largest MICE – agencies of India.
MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) — direction of business tourism, i.e. various conferences, congresses and events. The Indian delegation visited GUM, the Four Seasons Hotel and Ararat Park Hyatt Hotel, the mansion on Volkhonka and VDNH, as well as the Kremlin, Red Square, Zaryadye Park; and Kolomenskoye.
Moscow authorities hope that more and more Indian businessmen and tourists will now come to the city. Now the trend is reversed: in 2019 there were 109 thousand of them, in 2021 – 58 thousand. Since the beginning of this year – only 37 thousand.
We are betting on wealthy Indians. According to statistics, the average check of a foreign business tourist in Moscow is 158 thousand rubles. About 40% of them then return to the city with family or friends.
