The number of Russians who went abroad was named in 2022

The Border Guard Service of the Russian Federation named the number of Russians who traveled abroad in the first half of 2022 .

According to estimates, citizens of the Russian Federation made 8.5 million trips abroad for various purposes. This is 20% more than in the same period in 2021, but 60% less than in pre-pandemic 2019. Of these, only about 2.5 million people declared the purpose of tourism.

The three main countries of departure: Abkhazia (almost 2 million trips), Turkey (1.5 million) and Kazakhstan (770 thousand).
