The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Vladimir Kolokoltsev signed an order by which he lifted restrictions on foreign vacations introduced earlier due to the pandemic for employees of the department, a source in the central office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed to Interfax.

“By the decision of the minister, the restriction imposed on the background of the COVID-19 pandemic on the travel of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on vacation abroad has been lifted,” the source said.

The source explained that the number of open for law enforcement officers of countries for vacation remained the same – "as before the pandemic, there are 15 of them". Thus, the police can go to Abkhazia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Thailand, Cuba, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and South Ossetia.
