The race lasts only a few minutes, however, during this time, three of the seven victims were injured by the bulls with their horns. In 2019, at least 17 people were injured by a bull breaking out of a pen in Catalonia. The bull was supposed to take part in the race, however, before the event, the animal jumped over the barrier and attacked the spectators who had gathered in the stands around the paddock during a local holiday. In the end, he injured 17 people, four were immediately hospitalized.
