41st Pushkin Poetry Festival at the museum -Estate “Ostafyevo” – “Russian Parnassus

June 5 at the museum-estate « Ostafievo "-"Russian Parnassus" the annual 41st Pushkin Poetry Festival will be held. On this day, the old estate, where the spirit of great Russian culture has always reigned, will become a platform for musicians, poets, dancers, lecturers and actors.

The holiday will begin with a gala concert “But the talent is alive, the genius is immortal!..” on the Round Meadow of the park, which will be attended by: the State Kremlin Orchestra conducted by the chief conductor Konstantin Chudovsky, Honored Artist of the Republic of Dagestan and the Republic of Khakassia Natalia Manulik, choir of the Russian Academy of Arts, laureate of international competitions Igor Smaly (clarinet), laureate of All-Russian and international competitions Evgeny Sorokin (baritone), historical dance studio “Antre” and creative teams of Moscow.

In the park near the monument to Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin there will be a literary salon “The rumor about me will spread throughout the Great Russia” with the participation of second-year students of GITIS, actors of the Faculty of New Directions in Performing Arts of the Workshop of the People's Artist of the Russian Federation, Professor Valery Garkalin and Vladimir Pankov; winners and participants of the competition «Ostafievsky spring» and poets of creative literary associations. 

On the Field of Mars, guests of the estate will be able to find out what games were popular in Pushkin's time, and at the pavilion “Temple of Apollo” photo zone will work. Throughout the holiday, the galleries of the Main House will host creative workshops, educational programs and historical dance lessons, as well as the quest “Pushkin is our everything!”.

The museum has permanent expositions and temporary exhibitions, including Pushkin. The line of life in the medal”, “Through the pages of” The Captain's Daughter “. Pushkin in the Orenburg region and “Russian watercolor portrait of the 19th century”.

Museum-estate «Ostafyevo»—«Russian Parnassus» — a monument of noble culture on the territory of new Moscow. In Ostafievo there is a beautiful palace — a unique example of Russian manor architecture of the 18th-19th centuries — and an old park with a large pond. The history of the estate dates back to the 17th century, since the 18th century it belonged to the family of the princes Vyazemsky, and then the Sheremetevs. In 1804-1816 he lived here and worked on the “History of the Russian State” Nikolai Mikhailovich Karamzin.
