A tour to the Arctic is launched from St. Petersburg
From July 1, a new tourist route to the Arctic dedicated to Peter the Great will be launched from St. Petersburg, transmits TASS.
The main emphasis will be on the history of the famous “Sovereign Road”, which was built by order of the emperor. It was laid in 1702 from the Nyukhcha pier on the White Sea to Povenets on Lake Onega. Its length — 185.5 km.
They want to introduce tourists to the culture of the Pomors. The program included visits to authentic Pomeranian villages and participation in one of the rituals.
The route will be available in two formats: bus and adventure, when part of the path will need to be covered by an all-terrain vehicle or snowmobile.
