Russian Travel blogger, author of the TrueStory Trave blog spoke about cheap food in Kyrgyzstan.

According to him, a lunch at the local market costs 37 soms (about 30 rubles) on average. Most products are cheap except for imported goods.

He called street food “obscenely cheap”. According to him, sometimes he paid extra to sellers if the prices were too low.

“For example, you can buy a pie with potatoes for only 15 soms (12 rubles), and ice cream — and at all for 10 soms (eight rubles). A glass of sparkling water, which was sold on the street by local guys, cost only five soms (about four rubles). Friends, when was the last time you bought at least something for four rubles? writes the author of the blog.
